Phone Charger/Power Options

Why would you want one w/o a on/off switch?

Considering it's about 10 inches between the port and phone mount or tank bag, I rather assume you don't have like 6 feet of cord hanging out there?

OK, probably a stupid question. But if the USB port is zip tied to the handlebars, what kind of cord are you running between there and phone or other electronic device?

To the other question, yep two wires going to the battery with a fuse and the right connector so it sure looks like a tender setup.

I installed a perfect squeeze with built in wireless charger on my KLX. I ran power to an Eastern Beaver fuse block that I use to run my heated grips, USB and phone charger. Works pretty well. Hardest part was finding a location to put it. There is not much room under the hood.

Thought I would come back and update with what I did.
I bought dual port USB charger from Amazon that has an on/off switch. It connects to an SAE adapter which, in turn, is wired directly to the battery (with an inline fuse), and I didn't want this thing draining the battery. I've had the bike parked in the garage for 2-3 weeks at a time with the switch turned off, and the bike starts just fine. So there does not appear to be any battery draw. (I haven't put a multi-mater on there to verify this, though) The USB charging device has a built-in voltage read-out, so that's a nice added bonus to keep an eye on my charging system while underway.
I also bought a 12-inch cable to attach to my phone, and the cable has a 90-degree fitting so the cord tucks away nicely when in use and I don't have a cord hanging down to obstruct the throttle or any of the other controls on the handlebars.
I'm happy with the end result.
