I have a few questions for curiousity sake

1. What did you use for the rear tire?
2. What was the air temp?
3. What altitude where you at?

yeah the smoother the rear tire is, the better it hooks-up with the dyno's drum. I did a dyno run with my D-tracker in the winter time, when it was still 250cc, with a perfectly jetted pumper carb, aftermarket pipe and enlarged airbox hole. It peaked at 28hp. Finding that number hard to accept, I went to a different dyno and it peaked at nearly 30!

I know there can be different results between different dyno's, but I also think that there is enough variation in the kawi's parts manufacturing that you get some pretty wide variations in engine HP. That's the only thing I can think of when I try to answer why I've personally seen two similarly setup KLX's have like a 3-4hp split on the same dyno.
