I had no traction issues with a trackmaster rear and off highway front. 18lbs lbs of air also, had a handfull of flats up there, i dont know why people want to run 10lbs of air in the ROCKY mountains... pinch flats.

Pinch flats are one of the reasons I'm trying the Tubliss system. So far, so good in the desert, where rocks are abundant, sometimes hidden under a thin layer of sand, and oftentimes sharp. I do try to stay above 12 lbs of air, also.

A guy with the tubliss system got a flat in our group. He had to get a tire plug kit from a jeep. held air the rest of the trip. Id recommend a tire plug kit on your bike.

Yep...got it. It's a lot easier than carrying tubes!

The KLX will climb mountains. It gets a little weak above the timberline, but will still get you up and over anything if you are geared right and use a lot of clutch. I was in Colorado last week riding. I put the stock jets in with the airbox lid off and it was a little lean at base camp (7500 ft) . It smoothed out up the hill a little bit then got really weak like I said about the timberline. I was geared 14/47 and it seemed pretty good most of the time.

KLX250 consumes at a very conservitive estimate 250liters per min at idle.
air pressure and thus available oxygen at 2700ft is about 10% lower
at 6000ft its 20% lower.
So you will need an extra 5liters per min at 2700 & extra 10liters per min at 6000ft just to have same avaialbe oxygen at idle. At working speeds your looking at a lot of flow, Say 50-60liters.
That e cyl would last around 11-12min at best

But it would not really be a bomb. It takes a lot to make those tanks fail.
