Pelican Box install, one way.

Pelican Box install, one way.
I know there are a few ways to do this but figured using stainless steel ADEL clamps with stainless steel cap screws and SS nylock nuts would hold up fine. Just drill the center from the 2 holes on the bottom of the Pelican box that will be the rear position on the bike. Once you have it mounted with the 2 rear bolts you can use a hook type scribe to mark the center of the front hole. Pics show it all. Hope it helps someone...it took more time getting the parts than the actual install.

carefull.... doing 60mph on gravel/dirt roads for any length of time will break those clamps....the vibration, i have seen it first hand. Nice job though.

Nice job man. That's exactly how Todd did his and I copied his design, Eric is right in a sense. When I first installed mine I used the pin and clasp design to install, but my case kept vibrating and twisting slightly, and while it was probably only 2 degrees I still noticed it. (that's another issue) Anyway I decided to replace the pins with some self locking nylox fasteners. I have probably close to 5500 to 6000 miles with the case on the back, and its absolutely solid.

Cool. I've done the same thing...

...only I have the single clamp at the rear. I've managed to break that clamp twice and I've come to consider it a consumable part!

Mines been on since who knows when and it has never moved at all.rubber wrapped steel clamps from my big rig supply box....case is mounted sideways for a reason.4 clamps mounted thru the mounting bosses of the pelican case.stainless bolts and fender washers inside.... a little silcone under the washers to seal it tight.and some prevailing torque (steel) locknuts to clamp her down.good and solid ...has survived a few crashes and still firm.
