just a quick questions...looking at the d tracker specs, it looks like all the specs are identical to the 250s/sf carb/engine...same compression...same bore and stroke...how does the d tracker deliver 30 hp at 8,500 rpm??

Maybe at the crank on a very optimistic dyno at 2000 feet below sea level...

i was looking at different specs on the d-tracker and i saw it listed at 30 hp at 8,500 rpm and this website Kawasaki D-tracker 2005: technical specifications has 29 hp at 9,000 rpm...i was looking at all the bore x stroke, compression, gearing, etc, and i didn't see any difference...i was little puzzled...

It just seems wrong to take apart something that still works, but then again when I was a kid I took apart everything in our 4 stall shop, my stepdad would come home and I would have a chainsaw or an electric drill or an old tv all apart, and he would smile and say ok put it back together and come get me when your ready to see if it still works. LOL most of the time it did.

Oh and by the way $1500.00 is a great deal for that bike. I mean the wheels and tires alone should be worth at least half that just by themselves!!!

i'll take the handlebar with the throttle, levers, front brake reservoir, etc....so, you just have to unbolt and box as-is after you disconnect the cables and lines....
