Just wondering what kind of gear you all are wearing. Do you pretty much go for the MX gear (pants, pads, etc.) or are you using the loose fitting pants and such? For on-road, do you have a second set of gear, or do you have "dual-sport" gear to match the dual-sport bike?

I'm old-school -- so, you wear red gear on a honda, blue gear on a Yamaha, etc. I don't like the mis-matched look ... and I've noticed that with just about every brand, green is scarce.

I'm curious to see what you guys are wearing on the trails and/or street.

I wear padded shorts, knee pads and apressure suit, with Under Armour. I haven't found a comfortable pair of SMX boots yet, (anybody?) I use a pair of Frank Thomas waterproof road boots, very comfortable but they do not offer enough protection. I have new boots but they are too stiff & I can't ride with them.

 

all my stuff is mismatched. i get the least expensive gear i can. i really couldn't care less what color it is. i wear every piece of protective gear i can get. knee pads, elbow pads, kidney belt, boots(tech 6's), gloves, helmut, chest protectorand a pair of football compression shorts that have the thigh pads in them.that's in the dirt. on the street when i'm commuting to work i have a pair of over the boot enduro pants. other than that it's helmut,work boots and gloves.

 

I use for the street...an AGV race jacket and aegis leathers for the bottom and an hjc cl-sp helmet.off road I use my denim/leather pants and a good sturdy jacket and my Bell moto-8 helmet.I use my answer synchron gloves both on and off road when it's warm.when it's cold i got some ARC all weather gloves from rocky mountain atv and they are awesome.A set of knee and elbow pads are coming soon as well as some all weather riding pants and jacket from ARC as well.You can't beat their price for the quality.
as for boots I use the 50/50 boots from Thor and they seem to allow alot of movement for a great price and all the parts are replaceable on them.They are like a half hight motocross boot.Great comfort and coverage for on road use as well.plus you can still walk into a store without looking stupid with them.

 

Since 1980 I've had an IT Yamaha, 3 XR Honda's, 2 DR Suzuki's and now a klx. My riding gear looks like I was caught in a paint store explosion. If it fits and it's comfortable I'm just to cheap to change it.

 

Moose Expedition pants, Thor 50/50 boots (my mx boots are to stiff), Moose Quick Coat, gloves, goggles, open face helmet that I wear just to go to the store etc. and a full face for off road which is 90% of my riding.

I have found unless you have a truckload of money it's difficult to buy green gear. I got a couple of Fox forest green shirts but could not get green pants in my size

 

I wear Oneal quad pants,(I like the loose leg bottoms) MX jerseys and shorty boots. As far as colors go I have black and white stuff. I'm not really into matching with my bike. We were riding this weekend and I saw a guy on a brand new KDX200 with matching gear. He was sooo cute. I just wanted to go over and give him a big hug.
