ok i dont want a two stroke. they have their place but i dont like em. money wise when i sell my KLX plus pipe i should only be $1500 or so behind and my mum being the selfless person she is, offered to pay the difference if i can get a good deal. I wont be buying new but i will be looking for a late second hand 250x(06,07). i know of valve problems with the crf's but my dad knows plenty on bikes and im sure he'll give me a hand when looking at bikes. Commuting isnt a real prob havent got my L's yet. yeah it would be nice to ride to school or wherever but being a great trail bike and holding its own on track every now and then is priority 1.

Just a thought, but ... instead of upgrading your ride, couldn't you get the same results by upgrading your skills? My 2 cents ...

 

ive improved alot since ive had this bike and ive been riding every weekend all dayers so a more serious bike is what i want. But im no longer looking at the honda crf250x, im gonna stick with kawi and get a kx250f. just gotta find a good deal.

 

my bit of advice would be to not look for only one make or model. All those 250f's are about equel so you really can't go wrong with any of them. Find a bike in the best condition for the best price.
