Ordered a sprocket and chain....

i switch from 14/42 to 13/42 with the stock chain length and have the snail cams marked where each will need to be. Pushh the axle forward and de rail the chain on the rear sprockets make the swap ez.
For me, the only reason 13/42 work better offroad is not because 1 st is lower. I'm fine with the stock 1st gear and clutch work. But because the 2-3 gap is smaller than the 1-2 in the transmission. Off road I'd rather ride 2-3 closer ratio.

Here is what the calculator says,
14/42 …3.00 15/45…..3.00
13/42….3.23 14/45 ….3.21
15/42….2.80 13/45…..3.46
Which means that the only real difference between the two is with the 13/45.
Interesting.
Yes the fun meter drops off when the fuel starts to slosh around the bottom of the wings.

Okay, okay. So I must be the one imbibing!
I thought you were comparing each set (left compared to right) on a downward trend (top to bottom), but that the last one on left (15/42) is taller than the ones above it (i.e. comparing 15/42 to 13/45 & 2.80 to 3.46).
