I wouldn't have them unless you want to replace the levers when the bike drops. But here you go.

Renthal Moto Handguards - Dirt Bike Motocross - Motorcycle Superstore
Moose Racing Flex Handguards - Dirt Bike Motocross - Motorcycle Superstore

What's the fancy ratchet strap that goes in the end of the bar all about? Details please.

I have these...

Shop Acerbis Products - Uniko

I like them and they have held up in minor drops on slow tight stuff. I got them to replace the stock ones that are made of porcelin which shattered when I fell in mud (). If I were to do it again, I would probabaly go with the Acerbis Rally Pro wraparound. At the time, I wanted plug n play instead of having to drill our the barends.

I use these from Enduro Engineering. They ARE nice but don't count on them saving your levers.

Handguards or fancy straps? I'd throw away the fancy straps. hahaa

What happened to a hook over the handlebars? Easy, works, and you don't need to replace your handguards!

to each his own, I use straps that the strap part rides on the bar and the hook on the end attaches back to D ring sewn onto the strap, works great and doesnt seem to mar the bars much so far, not that it matters much to me. As much as I have been dropping the bike lately, she wishes she could get by with just bar scratches!
