Default Oops.....Hose Routing Question please !

Where do I route the two hoses that come off of the bottom of the gas tank (not the feul lines, the other 2)

And anyone have any idea what that thing is on the left side of the carb that is held on by two special torx screws? For the life of me I can't figure out what it is !

The power mods WORK !!! I couldn't start it in the cold, now it fires right up and barely needs the choke !

The fuel vent hoses get routed below the carb to the right side of the swingarm, near the spring. I ziptie mine at the bottom along with the airbox drain which has the clear plastic bubble on it.

The thing with t5he torque screws is probably the electronic idle control doohickey. The wire from that plugs into a female plug just above and forward of the battery.

Hope that helps.

That pic looks like the left side of the swingarm. Left, right, guess what's important is they go DOWN ! I found the right side to have a cleaner routing, though that pic sure rings of newness.....you need to find some dirt and cook it on !!!

So what does that electronic idle doohickey thingy do? When I removed it to take off the carb it had a flat head screw type of thing under it and the connector itself had a tab thing that went into the slot thingy. Wonder if it turns that thing on the carb or the thing on the carb turns it?

Weird. We have an idle adjustment speed **** and a mixture screw, what else do you need?

The little doohickey you are talking about is the throttle position sensor (TPS).

Give that man a cigar! It feeds throttle position info to the CDI. Very little noticeable effect, even when disonnected.

Thanks for the correction, I didn't mean to mislead anyone.

But it's still a doohickey.

I thought the KLR-650 gang had dibs on "Doohickey"? (I have no idea what their "doohickey" is, though.)

If so, does that mean we have to come up with something else? I suggest "Doo-Dad" just because its a lot easier to say & spell than "thing-a-ma-bobber". ("Widget" is out for obvious reasons - we'd always have to clarify if we we talking about an "ACME Widget" or the "Kawasaki Widget" )
