Just changed filters on both bikes and noticed the filters I just purchased from Bike Bandit are loose fit on the filter cover. Previous filters fit snug and would come out attached to the filter cover.

I am guessing the filter spring should keep the rubber sealed against the cover but just wondering if I got a bad batch or is this normal thing?

 

Mine have all been tight. Fram and Wix are the two I have used. I thought you went with the stainless filter??

The stainless is tight and it is on the 250s which is on the stand getting repairs. The two sf's have paper. I have one more stailess which I have not put in the GF's sf yet. I am thinking of putting it in when it reaches 2000miles. The the second sf is my ride to work until I get all the bits sorted and the s back on the road.
