I have heard and even Mobil, Quaker State, Castrol and other oil manufacturers claims that you do not need to wait until a motor is broken-in or a certain mileage before switching to synthetic oil.

Most race engines and high performance vehicles use full synthetic oils out of the gate.

+1 on that. The Mobil 1 Website says you can put in synthetic right away. I did my 1st oil change today at 552 miles of easy break in using Mobil 1 Racing 4T 10W-40. I noticed a big noise reduction and smoother shifting and acceleration. This little baby is all the bike I'll ever need. Now "want" is another story, The Ninjas are calling out to me; "Buy me" Buy me"
