speaking of aftermarket parts.... wonder how long it will be till companies start making things that will fit on the new one.... they are just getting on the ball with the 06 bike.... good luck with that....

 

well, I was kind of thinkin' 2-bros. or FMF to change it up a little. Edit: NOT!!
Eric- the frame is the same so I'm hopin the old stuff bolts right on. We'll see I guess. First order of business is to rip the emissions stuff off immediately. Then the 13-tooth sprocket, air-filter, etc.

 

Sorry guys, a lot of my pics came out really dark, not sure why. Anyway, I can say the bike didn't feel heavier or even shorter, but the bars and seat felt a lot better. The new lights, dash and plastics are really really nice too. I wouldn't trade my 2007 in on a 2009 though, I have way too much into the 2007 to get it just right to start over. And to think, about a year ago I said I wanted to keep the bike stock, then came:
