Finally! She's purdy lookin, isn't she?
I'm not going to put er on right away because I'm going for the "big bang" effect.
I'm waiting for the Muzzy to arrive then I'll do all the mods at once.
I've got the big snorkel, the jet kit, and now the tank.........
I've got a couple of questions for any of you that have this tank already.
Mine has a very noticeable moulding seam right up the center...
It's easily a 1/16th ridge along the back of the tank.
Is that standard or did I get a crappy one?
Also, mine came with a petcock. I remember other people saying they needed the KLX300 petcock.
Now I haven't tried to install it yet, but I don't really see why this petcock won't work.
Aside from the fact that the orientation of the switch would be 90 degrees perpendicular to the stock position.

I think it's just the IMS tank that needed the KLX300 petcock. That's because the IMS tank is designed for the KLX300 and they made it so that the KLX300 petcock could be moved from the stock tank to the IMS. Unfortunately, the KLX250S petcock is a different design and won't work - so we needed to pick up a KLX300 petcock.

Yeah, now that I look back at Marty's thread
(https://www.kawasakiforums.com/m_43439/tm.htm)
It looks like he did use the Acerbis petcock.
Marty - did you figure out a solution to the choke interference issue?
I heard about people tilting the carb just a wee bit.

Kawi Wawi,
Sorry about the delay. Been a bit busy the past couple of days.
Okay, my tank has that 'parting line' up it also. My opinion is this is a trail bike, not a show bike. I love my tank and what I can do because of it.
I did use the petcock supplied. I mounted the selector to the rear of the bike as the bend of the fuel line to the carb was a better match up.
On the choke issue, I have not done a thing - yet. Been busy, working 7 days a week at the time and don't have much play time! [sm=alcoholic.gif] I did tilt the carb a few degrees. I think that there might be room to move the fuel line to the carb around a bit, perhaps a piece of metal line might make all the difference. It is not a pressing issue, at least not to me at this time.
Being able to ride almost 200 miles kind of takes away the problem.
