[QUOTE=Highbeam;414506]That's the same as the utah skid plate right? Where did you order for the best price? I need one too.

QUOTE]

I think Utahsportcycle is the company that makes the Ricochet plate, I can't find it anywerhe else. Seattle is a two day sip, I would order no later than tomorrow.

Thanks for the heads up on the skid plate. That sucker really came in handy. However you were wrong about the whoops. There were so many that, that is all I see when I close my eyes. that might be all the sand that is still in my eyes from the dust too.
Overall the poker run was a blast and the klx250s worked great. Did anyone else make it?

I was 2/3 of the way through the first lap of the poker run when my muffler and header pipe parted company All 3 bolts had apparently backed out and I had to walk back up the trail to retrieve the muffler. After I dumped all the dirt and rocks out of it, I was able to wire it back on and baby it back to the pit. But no second lap for me. Other than that, it was great! I noticed that the KLX was very well represented out there.

From now on, it's Loc-Tite on every bolt.

Wow, your header pipe fell out of the head? What did that sound like? I've run over several mufflers out there but they seemed like 2 stroke style mufflers with smaller inlets and spooge rolling out the back. Hard to imagine a whole system falling off.

The humpty humps get deeper out there every year but I wouldn't really think of them as whoopdy doos since the trail just has a bunch of consecutive holes in it about the size of a bike. Ah, yes, I guess they are like whoopdy doos. On the poker run day our group has been known to set up beside a really nasty hole like that and wait for folks to wreck. Pick em up and send em off. Pretty fun.

So it was dusty? I really missed it this year.

No, the muffler disconnected from the header pipe at the joint above the foot peg. It wasn't any louder than some of the other bikes out there. It was pretty dusty in places, but for the most part not too bad. The worst was waiting for everyone to gather back up in the parking lot. That's when it got windy and dusty.
