I'm in for late march early april. Pine barrons south jersey? is there a web site for the place
no. it's not a place as much as an area and it's huge. we can stay at the bass river state campground. there is a website for that. it's not the only campground but it is in the pine barrons and we can just ride out of there to wherever we want to go. we have to be with someone familiar with the area though. gasCAN become an issue and getting lost is a definate problem.

no one has thrown out any dates yet so let me be the first. the weekend of april 5th and 6th. bass river appears to be open all year so that shouldn't be a problem. we shouldnail down a definate weekend now so that everyone can plan for it. it's rather early in the year so rain is something to consider.

No offense, but southern Ohio isn't very "northeast"

That isn't the attitude to have about a group ride. Icpl0331 is right, you need a guide for this place. Someone that knows the trails and has a bunch mapped out so they can have the days and trail rides somewhat scheduled. Unloading and is exploring is cool, but this isn't the place for 15-20 people that are coming a distance to do. I know for one that I don't want to be pushing my bike through sand back to camp because someone that didn't know where they were going thought they could navigate with GPS. Besides have you ever tried to turn around 20 people on a tight trail because you came to a dead end? A guide is a must, if they have a bunch of mapped out trails the group can then decide as a whole which ones we want to take.
