Noob with questions
#21
I'll second that thought. Bought my '07 with 483 miles on it, dead stock, and could tell it was still a bit tight. Somewhere north of 1000 miles I had a seat of the pants feeling that the internals had worn in to max stock performance. Only mods made to date are a set of Tusk handguards and a Twin Air filter.
Since then I have been slowly collecting the parts (HMF slip on, Dynojet 300 kit, Kouba screw, etc) to open the bike up a bit. Only thing let is to get is a KDX snorkel or a decision to ditch the airbox lid altogether.
But before I do the Dirtsurfer one day mod marathon I saving my pennies for a new set of Motion Pro front springs. Can't see adding oomph when the front end dive with the stock springs gives me the heebie jeebies with the stock setup. I've long since passed that point in life where power without control sounds like fun so I'll wait a bit longer.....
