Ahhhh, finally found the time to "convert" the KLX from lime green to black and gray - I love it! I replaced the front fender with an Acerbis Tecknik fender. Removed the rear fender, radiator and headlight housings and gave them 6 coats of gloss black Krylon Fusion paint (inside and out). Replaced the seat cover with a Guts Racing Competition one. Next, XGX Graphics made some custom radiator housing decals. Also installed the Works Connection bash plate. Haven't decided on putting the XGX all black number plate decals on yet (came with the order). The Kustom Kraft 331cc Big Bore Kit is patiently waiting for me in its box!
Installing the fender was a piece of cake.
Installing the bash plate was even easier.
Installing the seat cover, well that wasn't as much fun and took several tries and about 6 Corona's before I got it on right.
Installing the decals, a pure and simple pain in the a*s - I would recommended being completely sober when doing it or having XGX do it!

Is this another one of your Photoshop projects, Mark?
If not, you did a fantastic job with that! That really looks awesome. Very nicely done!
I think we may have found our next BOTM winner.

I checked, it's not photoshop.
That looks real sharp Mark I wouldn't change a thing...the current white, black & grey combo looks good. The white sidepanels offset everything nicely.
Take her for a spin tomorrow and show her off a bit to your friends, then get home and start on that 331 kit...no work monday right.

Doing it in Photoshop would have been a whole lot easier and not as stressfull!
I don't feel like I'm riding a "kids" bike and it has a more "serious" look to it (more mature looking???). Best thing is it matches all my black-gray-white mx gear!

I got back Thursday. Six weeks abroad was my max for a business trip - I'm totally exhausted. Spent most of my time in China and Indonesia with the last week in Europe, it's good to be home!!! I'm cranking to go for a ride with you tomorrow or Monday, will that work?

Day-amm!! That looks sweet!! I would've never believed that black and gray would look that nice on the KLX. Your use and the location of the stickers are just about perfect. Even the mfugly HMF looks perfectly in place. Well done! [sm=bling.gif]
