No more Dirt Rider magazine

It is hard to realize just what all has been lost over the years in the motorcycle media... sad.
It's become a bit too sanitary and run to manage risk of litigation. A lot of those writers wouldn't be able to do what they did then, now. Can you imagine Rick Sieman Pete Szylagyi, and Ed Hertfelder writing for any of the current magazines today? How many would have the guts to bad mouth clunky machines the way Szylagyi and Sieman did? How many would risk life and limb in the deluxe Dirt Bike El Camino?
God bless the golden days and Sieman's Monkey Butt book.

I loved getting Cycle News weekly newspaper. Can only get online subscription now I believe. I still get my AMA American Motorcyclist but that's only good for about two trips to the bathroom
Yep KLX678, Super Hunky would be spending all his time in court these days. However these magazines were well written and grammatically correct enough to get my *** through high school english class.

Well lets see, go buy a $11,000,00 plus dirt bike $2500.00[?] suspension, $1000.00 exhaust pipe, Ti~foot pegs? I ain't doing it. The list goes on.
Then it says "for the rest of the story go to www.\.mag.bite.me" they shot themselves in the foot.

Dirt Rider used to be a great rag. They weren't as hip as Dirt Bike and MXA, but they had good tests.
I stopped reading the print mags in the 90s. The 70s and 80s were dirt bike heyday, more people rode then partly because there were so many cheap entry level bikes out there (many of which are still being ridden today).
