Thanks for the input guys. I see what you mean now about the cover. These no $$$ are mostly temp fixes until the UPS guy brings the real thing. So I should just S can the cover and run the uni filter, correct?

I found some awesome little 12v halogen lights that are 4.5 inches long and oblong cat eye shape that look like they will bolt on to the existing bolts on the headlight faring and reflector base with miniman modding. They fit perfectly in that little space under the headlight on each side and throw light on both sides of the front tire a bit closer to the bike.

Good idea or bad idea? I ride all year long and it gets dark early now. More light is goooooooooood.

They are 50 watts each. Will adding 100 watt load to the electrical system cause any problems??

They aren't very expensive. If anyone is interested I'll post a pic and link.
