Hi there!


I don't know nothing on the ninja engine but will it be possible?

What is the advantage of the 2 cylinder 250 over the thumper 250? And is it enough of an advantage to even attempt?

If anything, I'd like to put a KLX450 motor into my 250! (Or even a KX250)

+1 on the KX250 motor

I'd guess that the 2 cylinder would rev higher to make the same HP, but develope less torque in the lower rpms...
Anyone wanna chime in here and let me know what the real answer is?

I've heard that the ninja 250's are wimpy... but that may have been slanted form a guy that is used to the 600 haahha

The Ninja motor makes about 29.5 hp, but is heavier than the stock motor. I don't think it would be worth the effort because the ninja motors power would be very dificult to use off road anyway. Get the big bore and pumper carb for your KLX and call it good.

my friend has a ninja and its not faster, the aust version of both. all the power is above 9500rpm, slow revving and less torque.
