My wife bought me a new Yamaha R1 for Fathers Day in 2000. I began to follow various web sites and thought the name fit with a bike like that. I'm not really a fast rider but that bike literally added 25 mph to any riding situation compared to my previous bike at that time. The name generally refers to the bike I'm riding asopposed to any comment about my own riding abilities.

I heard Madden say "that was some STELLAR D" watching a football game many many years ago. When I played football i shouted it in practice and people called me that for a while, since it fit because i was defence and my other nickname was plain "D", from my name. Here comes the dork part, I made it my screen name when I played online shooters like Quake 3 and counterstrike.

Goes with lots of stupid nicknames i've had and have:

D-Train, D-Rock, D, FSOS (fat sack of ****, from my earlier riggin days) then Daffy from my later rigging days (taken out of my last name i guess). People usually just call me by my last name now. I guess it could be worse, having a nickname like "booger" or "stinky".
