Hey all,

New to KF, won't even have my (slightly) used '07 till this weekend when I pick it up from a fishing guide on Chokoloskee Island, FL. Boats and bikes, go figure. Been riding dirt bikes for 35+ years but the KLX will be the first I've owned since my '79 Honda XL250 was stolen in Tampa in the late eighties. Still miss that bike and the KLX just seems like a modern version. Made the mistake of taking it for a test spin a couple of weeks ago - case closed.

Gonna keep it in the dirt for the first couple of weeks to get familiar with the handling etc before I go to the DMV to get my class E endorsement. Would like to know if there are any members in Central Florida who could give me some ideas on where to ride. Have plenty of places to ride locally but always looking for new byways to travel.

YES!!!!!!!!!!! Another KLX owner. Welcome Jeff, and trust us, you will have a continuous smile on your face while riding and even thinking about riding. You'll have a hard time concentrating at work, your girlfriend or wife will think that you are seeing someone else. Its the bomb, its the shazzizle and the shiznit all rolled into one...............hmmmm did I take the wrong pill again? Dang![8D][8D][8D] welcome and there are several guys on this site from Florida, I see a DS ride in the near future.

 

croom in brooksville is your best bet if you want real trails. gets pretty whooped out, though.
