Be prepared to spend some money, you won't be able to stop at one mod after reading the threads on this forum.

JB1, let me add my "welcome".

As for the "mod addiction" - I got busted this past weekend. My wife and I sat down together to do bills (which we never do together BTW). Much to my amazement, she actually wanted to read the Visa bill instead of just paying the balance. I would have given anything to see the look on my face as I watched her reading the bill out loud. There were no huge items (I bought my Muzzy several months ago so that one charge is long gone - she knew about that one anyway), but there was $40 here, $60 there, and (oh yeah) $191 to ThumperTalk. Doh! There wasn't a whole lot I could do or say. I just kind of sat there with a poker face on and took it like a man. She was not too bad, but she used her best "disappointed mother" look. You know the one. Not mad, just disappointed. If you have ever received that look, then you know that the mad look would have been a lot easier to take.

Anyway, all is well. She knows that there are a few more things that I am going to do to the bike, but I am going to be a little more forthcoming with info about any biggies going forward. Seems fair. She is the opposite of the shopaholicwives that some guys have. She never spends money on herself, so she is well within her rights to expect me to show a little discretion.

The parties not over, I am just going to have to keep the noise down a little bit.

To be honest with you, I don't remember. I think it might have been several things including my new chain, rear sprocket and some other stuff. Now that I think of it, I am pretty sure that is what it was.

As for the tank, that was free, brother! You might recall a couple of months ago Deej posted a link to a guy on Advrider or ThumperTalk that wanted to trade his plastic KLX300 tank for a metal KLX250S tank because he was getting flak from the NJ inspection officials for having a plastic tank. Well I did the trade with him. I hated parting with my purdy KLX250S radiator shrouds, but his tank came with two sets of shrouds, both used but in decent shape. One set is pretty beat up, but they will serve as handy backups or I might use them when I plan to do serious offroading. The other set is in much better shape. I have already bought a set of OEM replica graphics from N-style that I will be putting on those. The bike looks sweet with the KLX300 shrouds, I think. I will post pics once I have the graphics on.

You will see them in person in a few weeks, though. Woohoo!
