Default newbie here...just bought a 2006 KLX250-S

Just wanted to introduce myself and say Hello. I just bought a new 2006 KLX250 friday and I love it. I used to ride only MX bikes as a kid, mainly RM, KX and CR's but I allways wanted a dual purpose. I bought my 6yr old son a CRF50 for christmas so I had to buy me a bike...lmfao

great forum [sm=groupwave.gif]

A very warm welcome JB1, I know I'm not the oldest one here, but also not the youngest, after 20 years of not riding, well at least nothing off road, I bought my bike last November. I absolutely love my bike. Let us know where you hale from, maybe a state in your signature. I wonder does anyone here have a count on how many guys bought this bike and are members in this section? Hmmmm it would be interesting to find out. Hey I used to think that exhaust and jetting were the best and most important mod out there, but if I had it to do all over again I would get the skid plate first. Somewhere here is a post that someone might paste in here for new members, or better yet, maybe Todd could put a link at the top of the page.

I put my location in the sig [sm=smiley20.gif]
Better skid plate would be nice and also a fender eliminator. Im still searching and reading posts. Im gonna try the monotune break too.

Oneimportant aspectof the MotoTune break-in: The first 20 miles are the most critical! (at least according to that method). If you've already got more than 10-15 miles on your bike, then you may have missed the MotoTune "window of opportunity" for maximum benefits.

Again, welcome to the forums!

Hmmmm my wife is from Houston, and her family moved up here to the great Pacific Northwest about 18 years ago. Her mom and dad got divorced a couple of years ago and he moved back down to the area. I went there when we were first married, and coming from the damp and cool area of Washington to Houston I thought I was going to die. That was 12 years ago, it was my first and only time on a plane. It was so hot down there that I had to stay in a car, restaurant, or a house with AC all the time. OK it wasn't that bad, but I was out of my element for sure.
