Conversely some new tires don't behave this well.
You were supposed to be testing out the GP-1s for me. What's the hold up? The Kenda 270s I got are showing wear at 600 miles. I still got the stock front, but it's washing out on me now. I was hoping to replace the front every other rear, but I really hate that front tire.

If you can put 3000 miles on your 2011 tires before 2017, I wouldn't worry about it. You'll wear them out before you have any issues with age.

I know I picked up a Ninja 500 a couple of months ago and put a couple thousand miles on that one and the KLX has not seen as much riding. The rear is still holding out at 4k and I am not going to change it for a bit longer.

This is interesting, as the K270 is my favorite KLR650 front tire. Sure, it's not the longest lasting, but, it sticks like glue on the heavy-front-end KLR. I like the Trackmaster better on the front of the KLX.

What psi are you running in the K270, and, are you talking about not liking it on pavement or off-road? Muddy or dry? Thanks!

I just put the Kenda on the rear. I like it. Does well for what I want out of it. I just thought it may last longer than the stock rear tire. My front is still the stock tire. Not sure what 50/50 or 20/80 tire I want up there yet. Running stock pressures all the time.
