Its amazing how just a couple of pounds of air will totally change the tires characteristics - I'm just running 18 psi on the rear tire of the D606's (street) because they are so stiff and I could probably go down to 16 psi.

The 100/100-18 TM is so stiff that I could sit on it without the rim and it would support my 175 lb's and just barely buckle. I leave mine at 15 psi and its good everywhere for my riding. Although I think if I uppped it to the low 20's it would change direction quicker at speed. Under 40 its a weaving machine, above 60 and it takes some effort to change direction quickly.

I max my tire pressure out, I think I'm running 25 at least in both tires, and have never slipped once on the blacktop, but the gravel roads are a little rough and bouncy.

Well, here's an update: The trackmasters are excellent in the soft or loose dirt. On the hard to very hard pack or hard dirt roads, they're the same or worse. On the street, obviously they're not great. One problem I've found that I didn't really consider previously was how bad the street kills these things. I put MAYBE 75 miles on these tires today of which 50 were on pavement, and the rear tire is already jacked.
Here is a photo of the rear tire after the50 road miles. Look at the right side of the treads.
The other thing I wanted to say is that you guys who are running the stock front and the new rear are crazy. The front tire is a piece of **** in the dirt, worse than the rear. I've thought that since I got the bike. That tire slides all over the place.

RE: New Tires
If I remember I'll get a pic of my rear tire, 1200 commuter/ds miles on it. Pay no attention to the tire wear, its far from being jacked up. The sharp edges will round off quickly and then the wear slows down considerably. 2 weeks ago I did 110 miles chasing my buddy on his Honda 650 and probably about half of that was pavement and had no appreciable wear from start to finish even when ripping it up on the street.

RE: New Tires
yeah i got a matching set.Dunlop actually lists the rear as a D604 trailmax tire.why it has trail anything i don't know.I believe it is a pretty new release for the sportsman class supermoto that must run a stock set of wheels to compete.I put alot of miles on this bike and it is a daily commuter and i routinely rip alot of twisty backroads so it only made sense to me to go this route.Heck if i know i'm gonna be running offroad i usually swap my rear sprocket anyway and i can switch a back tire in about 15 minutes so for me to prep my bike to 100% offroad in an hour that's fine with me.
