Default New Tires

Just wanted to tell you monkeys I replaced my stock tires with a new set of trackmasters. I'm sure you've all done that by now. Bigdifference on the dirt. They're a little strange on the road though. The handle bars want to continuously turn one way or the other. Definitely worth it for the dirt though. That's my $0.02.

My friend put the Trackmasters on his bike and said the same thing about it being squirrely on the road but likes them in the dirt.

I rode them for 223 miles in the dirt in WV at hatfield-McCoy and they were great for dirt.......but screw them for my home running.I finaly bought a real set of tires for some street runs....D607's I got both tires to calm my nerves as i run my bike as a day to day commuter.not to mention i got the only recorded flats in my life running the road on my D603's......(stockers).....The Kendas (K760's) were ok but they just couldn't hold a corner!....but they are what they are.....and they are street legal off road tires....I'll post pics of my new 607's when i get them some time this week......they better hurry up though.......they are track ready tires tho for a sportsman class supermoto run.beginner ready for street basically.....we'll see........when i'm on my butt.

I love my Dunlop D606's - the best tire I've owned in many years!

Yes I agree 100%, I think the 606 is the perfect tire for all around. But I never heard of the 607....is that a Sport bike tire?

The Trackmaster rear seems to hook up fine on the pavement. The front I've heard is a bit funky. I went with a Kenda 776F front tire and that combo seems to be ideal for my riding.

I heard the same too.

I have the stock 603s on the front and the Trakmaster on the rear. After I got used to its idiosyncracies, I have no problem with the Trakmaster on the street. I can lean way over and corner like a super motard. I put 25 psi in it and it makes a huuuge difference in the street.

Its amazing how just a couple of pounds of air will totally change the tires characteristics - I'm just running 18 psi on the rear tire of the D606's (street) because they are so stiff and I could probably go down to 16 psi.
