Default New Skid Plate from Utah Sport Cycle

Everybody,
I've been lurking long enough.
I finally have something to say.
Today I went down to Salt Lake wanting to see what USC had for skid plates...
Anyway a long story made short I going to take my bike back tomorrow and leave
it a couple of days so they can design a plate just for our bikes.
A good mod just for us!
I'll try to get some pics posted.ASAP
Love my Kawi

i have their skid plate for the klx300 on my bike. it fits ok, the clamps should be designed a little better, so one made for the 250s would be great

The more third party parts the better - thanks for donating your bike for a few days. I hope you get a free skid plate out of it. We are fortunate that our bike is so similar to the KLX300, otherwise, there'd be nary little aftermarket support for us. It's good to see some vendors stepping up.

Yes, they said that they will just leave it on when they are done
They said that people were asking for a plate just for our bikes.
and it was time to start production!!
It seemed to me that they were going to try to cover more area than
the one that fit the 300.In a couple of days i guess we wil know.

Hey, provide some input to them.

Tell them to make it like the CSR plate. It is slotted on the sides so the plate can actually provide protection to the water pump and hoses on the right side and the case on the left side.

If they emulate that plate, they can sell a whole lot of them. I know I will sign up for one.

Here's a link to a whole lot of pictures provided by Maverick Aus for your use. https://www.kawasakiforums.com/m_70942/tm.htm

Make it for around $75 just like the pictures and I'll send my deposit in today!

The CRD "wrap-around" style is what I'm looking for as well, so you can add my name to the list, too.

+1. I have a plate on order from ThumperTalk right now but it is backordered. I am going to cancel it and await the USC offering.

I wonder if a group buy might be worked out. I know that there are a lot of folks here that have been holding out for a skidplate. I've got to think that we could get a pretty strong group together.

Anyone interested in commiting to that? If we can get a decent list together of commited buyers, I am confident that we could get at least a little bit better price, plus it would probably expedite their production schedule if they already knew that they had a slug of guaranteed sales.

Tefer got this started, so he (I am assuming) might be able to negotiate this with USC. Tefer, since you are getting a free one out of the deal, I am assuming that you don't want to be hassled with organizing the group buy for the rest of us. If you don't want to take point, let me know and I will volunteer. I don't know what is involved, but I am sure something can be worked out.

Thanks,
Chris
