Hi Dan,
I ordered that shift lever and it is longer which is perfect for me, but it is loose. The splines seem like they are a different size. I can not get it to tighten up so it does not wobble. Is yours loose?

Thanks, RimBender. I saw your template and I'll use it when I weld my broken stock lever back together. I'm going to try a brake saver/snake on my shift lever, too.

I used that p/n and it fits just fine. Make sure that the gap that pinches the shaft is free of any debris/burrs as that could prevent it from pinching down on the shaft.

I have the same issue. Always loose.

Often, the little bolts aren't strong enough to pull the gap tight. Put it in a vise, and pre-crimp it a little bit to close the gap up. Do a little at a time, and test fit it as you go, otherwise you'll be shoving a flat-blade in there to open it back up. LOL

Mine tightens down very well. I have one from MSR.
