Default New set of bars needed. Looking for input.

Well it didn't take me to long to break the first thing on my wife's new 2009!

Over memorial day weekend while camping up above Liberty Washington we decided to take a jaunt down some of the local jeep trails there. This one in particular had some really steep sections covered in ruts and a layer of powder like dirt. On one section while going downhill I met with a kid who came out of nowhere hauling **** straight for me coming back up the hill. I locked up both brakes and just kept sliding in a nice straight line and ended up running right into him which sent me flying and the bike ended up on it's side. The only damage was a set of bent stock bars and a bent front brake lever.

So now that I am done mumbling I have a question for you guys. Can anyone recommend a set of aftermarket bars? I am looking for something that will mount right up and doesn't require longer cables etc. to make them work. Any input you guys could provide would be greatly appreciated.

No worries mate. BTW any 7/8" bars will fit the clamp. I have personally fitted both bars without further cable mods etc.

I got Renthal protaper bars, I love em. Had to get the risers though cuz it was a fatbar. As WestOzKLX said, though, no sort of cable extensions were needed. Just a few beers n a few wrenches to get it on :P

I got a pair of stock bars I could give you for $5 plus shipping costs. I replaced mine with Pro Taper SE CR hi bends. They fit with stock cables. I rely like them and would recommend about any after market aluminum bars over the stock one's.

I went with Pro Taper (Windham RM Mid I think)
I cut about 13mm off each end.
All good.

I went with the Tusk CR high bend. There less expensive than the Renthals.
