Default Kickstand cutdown

You will probably need to lower the kickstand about an inch after using lowering links. I also bought some bar risers for the front and moved the shocks in the tripple clamp up 1" as well. I got about 1 1/2" lowering overall. Could have got more but i stiffened up the rear shock some. I cut out 1" in the middle of the kickstand, welded back together and painted. Worked out great.

Cool Much nicer ride

I put the Seat concepts seat on my SF. Wow 180 miles yesterday 1/2 dirt,1/2 highway. Pevious ride comfort level about 30 mile. Have the IMS tank and Edge lite and jet kit to install this winter.( Way to nice to work on a bike Id rather ride) My other bike is a Susuki Rv 125k 1973 OEM/NOS rebuild for most part. Tops at 30 MPH straight up or down.

Thanks for the info and great job on the kickstand.

If I did get lowering links it would probably only be 1" so I'm thinking the kickstand would be "okay" still with that drop.

I have 2" lowering links, and haven't modified my kickstand. It is still working just fine for me. I actually like it being a bit long when offroad and parking, no worries about it digging in a bit and falling over...

I found this code for 10% off: KLR650.NET

Anyone have their old seat cover they would like to part with? I'm tired of looking at the rip in mine, but not ready to pay $170 OTD to make it go away.

Has anyone ever just taken their saddle to a local upholstery shop and said here re-upholster it? It can't be any more expensive then buying an after market one.

I really like the look of that seat! Looks comfy too, but I checked the website and don't see it in red/black. Was yours a special order?
