Default New seat

I took my seat to a friends upholstery shop and asked him to smarten it up. He widened it and added a gel pad, what a difference! I also built a windscreen for long trips from a Suzuki screen a friend gave me. It weighs very little and comes off with four bolts. I am hoping to get some use out of this stuff this August or September.

Good job on the seat. The stocker is a torture device on long hauls.

You should put your friends seat shop phone# or website on this site. That seat looks very nice.

Great mod ideas. I would like to have a more comfy seat someday.

I've found this site while ago:

http://www.diymotorcycleseat.com/

Very interesting for anyone who wants to modify their seats.

Thanks guys,

The best part of the seat is the extra width, I think. When you give someone your bike seat to change, it is somewhat of a leap of faith that they will do the right thing. It has worked out fine. I think you could take it to any shop that has been in the business for a long time and they could do the same.

I am looking forward to getting the Giant loop and rack on there and heading out.
