I'd be willing to bet this is your problem. What is your altitude and area?

Do as rimbender sugested and try the bigger main jet. I'm @ sea level also and this is a problem I have gotten past. The decel popping is also a lean condition indicator.

I'd leave the needle in the middle.

Tune the mix screw with the engine good and hot and the idle speed set low enough that it still runs, but lower than normal. Slowly turn the mix screw in (leaner) til the engine lean misfires and coughs out. Note the setting. Turn the screw back out 1 full turn and restart the bike. Now turn the screw out (rich) till it wets the plug and misfires, it may die it may just run rough. Note position. Final setting will be 1/2 way between the 2 noted positions, usually ~ 1-1.5 turns out from lean misfire. Forget the DJ setting, it's just a ballpark. A T handle kouba screw makes this adjustment quick and easy.

Another thing is your SF bike, not sure how they are geared? 6th may be (too) tall and may not accept full throttle untill the rpms are up. This might give you a cough or hesitation? CV carbs shouldn't but if the slide is drilled per DJ (or lighter spring) and the screen out of the box the slide may lift faster writing checks than the motor can't cash.

14-39 is the gearing. I do have the lighter spring in. Rimbender thank you for your time. I guess its a kouba t handle for me then. I will bring the mix screw in a half turn from where im at know which is 3 turns out. and slap in the 132. Will post up tomorrow to let you know the outcome. once again thank you very much.

Just a reminder, you may never fully get rid of the decel popping. If the bike is running good and you still have it don't worry about it.

I was able to completely tune out the decel poping with the dynojet kit installed and slide drilled. I tend to screw with a bike till it runs excellent. I also never screwed with gearing because I frequently cruise 75 to 80 on the freeway. Now that I have the big bore kit I have no need to gear down for more bottom end.
I need to add I weigh a hefty 140#s.
