I was on my way back from Eugene, Oregon yesterday on my FZ1, coming up I-5. An old Ford Aerostar minivan with an older KLX250 on a moto-carrier on the back changed lanes ahead of me to go around a semi.

I noticed, while following, that one of this straps was danging. He had had four total straps on it -- two yellow ones going from the bars to the middle of the carrier, and blue ones also going from the bars, to the front part of the rack. Well, the "outside" blue strap was hanging free, dangling.

The bike still seemed reasonably secure, but I decided to try to get his attention about it anyway. The guy just looked at me like a deer in headlights. I got around on the other side after he moved back to the right lane, and shouted as loud as I can, "strap loose!" Again, the deer in headlights look.

I gave up and continued on my way, hoping his bike stayed put.

I doubt he's on here, but thought I'd post about it just in case.
