New old guy

RE: New old guy
Thanks for all the comments and tips.
I'll be looking into a different seat and Renazzco is on my short list. That's been my one complaint about all dual sports. I typically don't do mods. The bike is fine for the riding I do and I like to keep it quiet, which allows me to sneak up on critters and helps keep the riding areas open.
I know the feeling in regards to getting over 40, since I broke that milestone a year ago. I'm getting in better shape from riding and hopefully, I don't break anything on myself or my bike. So far, so good in 36 years of riding.... knock on wood.
I hold back, so I can keep an on my dad, since he's in his late 60's, in case he has a problem or spill and to keep from covering him in too much dust. =)
Also, with so many foolish people driving like maniacs on the forest roads, usually women in a Suburu, I always slow down for any blind turn or don't go faster then what I can see and stop within, so, we typically are doing less then 25 mph, which, is a good clip for off road, especially when a slip up may have you wishing you packed a parachute, instead of a backpack, LOL.
Laters.

Your dad is in his sixties? Well look at this guy, I snapped a picture at the hill climbs, 1957 HD and the guy is 64 and still hitting the hills. It was awesome to see him ride that thing.

It is almost embarrassing when we are out street riding and he takes his Suzuki Bergman scooter instead of his Honda Shadow A.C.E or one of his dual sports, to match up with whatever I’m riding, but, I cut him some slack. =) No scooters for me!

Riding with your dad must be a great feeling. Don't ever take him for granted. Tell him what he means to you. I never knew my real dad, and when I was 12 my mom got married to a guy that turned out to be the greatest guy I ever knew. Then in 1985 , just 10 years after he became my step dad he was taken from us. 23 years later I still miss him every day. He was 46.
