Then again, I'm in Canada, and our bike retailers are pretty pathetic in terms of keeping lots of stock. Not sure what it's like down there - small town America is probably the same...?? (unlike L.A. where you can get anything in 24 hours or less).

Finally got my bike took a little longer than expected. I had a some issues with the first dealer I was going to get the bike from so I ended up getting it from a different dealer. ended up getting a much better deal and they through in the helmet. I have had the bike for a few days now and love it I have put about 50 miles on it and all I can think about is getting out to ride. Haven't taken it off road yet that will be this weekend.

Just remember a clean bike is well........just a clean bike, I have to say that, because I am deej the clean freak around here, as you can see by my picture. I have 3300 miles on it, and despite what the guys around here say I'm not opposed to mud, just opposed to leaving it that way for too long. Later man, and welcome to the club once again.

congrats on the bike. regardless of price paid, it's one fun, nice looking bike that with a little tweaking can be a pretty serious performer. a note on the exhaust- this is the single most effective mod you can do to your KLX- even more so than making it a 300cc bore. I put on a biggun EvoX full system and it created so much power it will now take it into 3rd gear wheelies. as far as burning stuff on the header pipe, that's not an issue with this system as the header pipe is ceramic coated and mine's already been tested as my daughter's 'crocs shoes burnt a nice large piece of rubber onto the pipe. i was worried about getting it off, but after an 80 mile ride it burnt itself off and was never there basically. slip-ons are nice and take away the moped sound of the choked up oem exhaust. BUT- it's the header pipe that robs the power on the 250 as it is very tiny and gases cannot escape well. keeping the oem header and putting on a slip-on would be like taking a gun to a gunfight with no bullets. also, the ceramic coating will prevent any discoloration on the header.
otd for me- $4675. dealer discounted bike $300 back in April.
mods- biggun, 13-tooth front sprocket, Uni-Filter, carb mods, smog system removed, crankcase vent mod, airbox lid snorkel removed and hole enlarged.
