new klx250sf tires...
my stock irc road winner tires were dead...and, i kept riding on them for 9,300 miles....finally put them to rest...today...i "squeezed" in the shinko 705 for the rear....150/70-17.......i went for a 50 miles ride with the new tires....nothing fast...just carving through turns smoothly and slowly...going the speed limit to break in the new tires...i was worried that it wouldn't fit after measurements, but others have installed them, so i knew it would work...

You need a big bore for tires that wide
What width are you runnin up front?
Be sure to give a review on road performance and some minor off roading performance... I'll be back up in the U.P. this fall and I plan on having a pair of these to help bust up into some of the more laid back trails.
The stock tires just seem so hard... I don't have much confidence with them in the turns, could just be cuz of the accident though.

i didn't notice any difference in power or speed...if there is any lose, it must be very minimal...and, i was running my 15/39 gearing today...
i'll have to update how these wide dualsport end up holding up on the mellow dirt trails...have these types of dirt trails near me...no extreme hills or downhills....just mellow dirt trails....there is also a motocross track near by also, but don't want to destroy the klx250sf..hahaha

That is a sweet looking dash! Makes my 06 look like 1986. Whats the gauge cluster you have? I dig it.

shinko 150/70-17 initial reviews....there is a small noticeable rumble at low speeds of up to 25 mph that goes away once speed increases....it's probably from the block thread pattern...
the biggest difference was on the highway...first, my speedo is back to being correct (comparing it to my gps speedo)...
second, i love these tires on the highway....if anybody has gone over deep cracks and uneven pavement, they know the little wiggle and shake you get...switching lanes through uneven higher pavement or coming down at high speed...anyways...i'm not sure if it's the bulky block thread pattern or the wider tires....you hardly notice you are going over any cracks or uneven pavement..i was gliding through traffic, cracks and uneven pavement without any noticeable feel or sound...it was a very odd good feeling...
i was still able to pull strong up to 80+ mph...i'm sure i could have easily reached over 90 mph, but it was commute hours...i don't notice any difference in lose of power from the wider bigger tires....i must be very very minimal...

I personally think any dual sport tire kills the SF looks. That chain looks really close to that tire. You sure it won´t slap it? Do you check your mileage frequently? How´s it now?
I wanted to replace my 130 with a 140, but I end up putting a 130 again, since I couldn´t find a 140 IRC. When the time comes again at the end of the year, I may be able to import a 140.
I like the Roadwinner because they are hard and last longer. Traction is good, too... I´ve got scrapes on my bike´s pegs.
