"A 34mm semi-flat slide Keihin CVK carburetor contributes to quick throttle response and precise power delivery. It also helps to provide increased fuel economy. An evaporative emissions system allows the KLX250SF to meet strict CARB regulations, making it eligible for sale in all 50 states."
I love the SPIN. Essentially saying "we've choked here up so you can't have any fun." LOL
Good news for all in the USA if you want to convert to SM. Factory parts NOW available.

haha thats just what I was thinking as far as the plastics go too... I'm sure they will be super expensive though. Its a shame there isn't any aftermarket options for plastics. I'd love a black bike but not for that price.

is it just me, or do the new pictures showing the KLX250S look like the bike sits lower than the first pics of the '09? something about it, tires look thicker too. something's not right. from the pics on totalmotorcycle.com, the thing sits like an MX bike. these new pics look like it has lowering links on it or something. weird.
as far as the new bike goes, kudos to kawi for bringing Americans what they wanted; basically a d-tracker. dumb though to only offer it in black. two colors are nearly required this day and age. had the DRZSM not been offered in yellow/blue in '06, I wouldn't have bought one. oh yeah, the swingarm should be black as well. nice bike though. you can't touch SM wheels/tires/brake setup for $400.
