Welcome to the forum, I'm sure you'll get lots of good info here. Congrats on the bike. I too had the starting problem. I found the best way to start it was to motor the starter for about two seconds AND THEN, start to bring the choke out slowly until the motor catches. It works every time. For some reason, my bike doesn't like to start with the choke in the wide open position from the start. Good luck!

So, that is what a super clean bike looks like. Go out and enjoy it.
You do not have to do a lot of mods to enjoy riding this bike. Ride it and enjoy the experience. This forum is a great help for us new guys. A lot of good info on mtce, fixing problems and improvements, a good group.

Mill Creek trail is about an hour from where I live and I'll be checking it out for sure.

Took the Kawi out after work and ran it through the gears a bit to help seat the rings.
I was impressed as the engine pulls pretty hard. She comes alive at 6k. Shifted at 8k.
Gassed it up for the first time on the way home.
She ran her first 58 miles on .93 gallons of premium. Not bad for a new engine!

before your done riding switch the fuel off let that run down till theres nothing left in the carb and the motor dies then when you want to ride again switch it on hit the choke should fire right up if not cover the exhuast with your hand till it starts. i never touched the throttle to start.
