Tomorrow I go to buy material for a skid plate and look at one yoshimura pumper carb.
Any experience with yoshimuras?

forFor a half a day I was scanning around various better repair shops and scrap yards. Found a nice Keihin Flat CR 35 (I think, by measurement 34 but I didn't find this one anywhere),
guess what, fully functional. About 90 dollars and a handshake
I am a bit worried about the height of he carb, but will manage somehow...

Got a second stock bore, in nice condition it seems altough the holes for coolant flow are a bit smaller than on my stock cyl.
Any idea in which year they changed that?

$90 sounds like a deal for a good working pumper carb. Post up some pictures of your install.

90 bucks for a fcr35 is a sweet deal.

Mine required modifications by jerry at fsw to make it work on the 09 klx. But it made a difference in response and power delivery.

I already tried fitting it, it is actually FCR 33. Fits right in - there is no electric start.
If I manage to get replies about fitting Wiseco sleeve and 292cc Wiseco piston in this
bike I will get it bored to 34.

I have yet to find a place to sell me 78mm piston and sleeve, all the shops seem
to sell one or the other and that's double postage alltogether about 100$

EDIT: Supposedly Wiseco uses sleeves from L.A. Sleeves, but L.A.S. piston looks quite rough compared to Wiseco
in the bore. There is some special work expected to make L.A. Sleeve 78mm fit nicely to Wiseco piston 78mm?
I've read already that Wiseco should have a bigger clearence.

Took the gearbox to pieces, apart from the idler everything looks OK.
Where to get a good AM idler?
Strokerspeed.something seems to be down..
