Talking New klx 09 owner!!

Hi there!!

I have been reading a lot on this forum. I really enjoy my klx 09. Once the garanty is finished, I will start to mod! Here is the plan:

1. Buy K&N filter 53$
2. Replace the snorket for a KDX snorket 30$
3. Replace carb for a TM 36 who fit well 300$
4. Buy 351cc Big bore from Bill blue 550$
5. Replace header for a power bomb 300$
6. Replace stock exhaust for a HMF Q4 325$

What do you think?
I am missing something?

I live in Canada (I'm a french canadian!). What are the best canadian websites to buy stuff?

Thanks a lot!
Eric

Welcome Eric,

If you do all that, you will be happy.
But have a go at all the free (or nearly free) stuff first.

I would go with a twin air airfilter and forget the snorkle completely also get a 13 tooth front sprocket until you get the big bore.

Welcome to the forums Eric, glad to have another member from up North. What part of Canada do you live in? I was up on Vancouver Island last August. It was a blast!

Actually I would start smaller on the mods. Get the bike jetted, replace the front sprocket with a 13 and the rear with a 45 and of course a good pipe. After those mods, if you still want more power you will already be half way there. Good luck.

Dont wait for the warranty to be over, do all the free mods, get the 13 tooth sprocket, rejet and a good air filter. It will feel like a different bike.

Eric,

I thought I was alone too, but now we're two.

I live near to Trois-Rivieres. Going to mod by KLX once the riding season is over.

I love my KLX, on the road she gets you from point A to point B, in the trails she rocks!
Wait until you open her up with full exhaust, jet kit, and snorkel delete. Saaaweeet!!
