Then it might be more practical to just circumvent the rev-limiter and keep the stock pipe. That'll give you more power especially in 4-5-6 gear for "high-speed cruising" - and you'll still have the stealth of the stock pipe. Which could allow you to sneak through areas where other (loud) bikes would be kicked out ;o)

Thanks brother. A friend of mine had a couple Hodies when we where in High School. We rode them alot. We all got our MC license on his Kawi 100.

That Dirt Squirt takes me back also! Two of my friends had them circa late 70's. Another H.S friend had a nice lime green Road Toad.

We all rode enduros in high school. I had the Yamaha DT125. We all graduated in '82. I'm one of the forum members who does not own a KLX, but I am offically a Versys owner now!

Back on topic: Congrats with the new KLX250SF!
