Have they streamlined it, or does it still look like a giant point-and-shoot camera duct taped to the top of your helmet... ???

Awesome shots! They know how to sell their product. Nice touch with the eye candy sprinkled in.

The picture is great, its too bad it looks like a big brick just waiting to be knocked of your helmet.

IMHO, Contour makes a much better camera, and it doesn't look like a brick taped to your head. I took a hard spill (like broken collar bone, hard). My Contour ended up between my helmet and the ground (saved my helmet from getting torn up). Fortunately, the Contour only sustained a couple tiny nicks in the anodizing. Touched them up with a permanent marker, and you can't even see them now... That fall would have destroyed a GoPro - if you even had the option to mount a GoPro on the side of a helmet...

I dunno.. I think the GoPro is pretty bulletproof.. Yeah, it's a little bigger, but the picture quality is so much better than the others.

I took a head slammer right on my gopro - embedded it a couple inches in the ground and it was fine. They're very strong. I'm pretty sure the contour would have smashed in that scenario.

I mainly chose the GoPro for the better lookin vid, and the fact that I could submerge it to about 300ft. That was a key point for me.
Either way, you can't go wrong.

We use this one,i like the fact you can see your video on the camera, that way you know its pointed the right way, and the remote can go on your wrist so your not fumbling for the on/ off button.

this was my boy's first attempt at a video, we have not tried the H/D setting yet.
