any FULL system made for the KLX300 will fit on any KLX250- period. the "'09 specific full systems" are really just 300 systems remarketed to the KLX250S owner. it's all the same frame/chassis with the same bolt holes, trust me on this. some fit better than others, but they will all go on with not too much of a problem.

With the mods you have done to your 09 does it run alot better? I have a buddy that just got ther WR and after ridding his bike i kind of kicked myself for not getting it but I figure if I took that extra grand and put a good exhaust and jet kit i should be right up ther with his. Just wanting someones opinion that already did the mods i am planning on. I already have the 13T and planning to go to a 45T in the rear, I dont do a lot of street ridding just enough to get to the trail.

first off, the KLX will NEVER be a WR- either the F or the R. I assume you mean the enduro WR. A grand spent on the KLX will make it push around 28 horsepower at the rear wheel. That's an exhaust, jet kit, and a big-bore kit of some kind 331cc or larger. The 300 kit will push out around 25-26 with an exhaust, and the larger bore will net you around 2 more according to nobrakes'. The carb will not get you any more power (an fcr) but it will get you the instant snap the WR has which is very noticeable off-road. That another $400 or so for a pumper carb. The WR is also lighter than the KLX, but it is not street legal unless it's the new dual-sport WR. yes, my KLX runs very good for what I've done to it but I'd be surprised if it's pushing any more than 23 at the rear wheel from identical mods done to other bikes that were dynoed. It's still a pooch imo but I like the bike for what it can do, not what it can't. It's my second KLX and I knew what I was getting going into it. I'm getting the HD bug again, so,gulp, it may be for sale.?!@
