Default New exhaust

This just got delivered today... so of course I plan to install it tonight.

I'm sorry if this has been discussed before, but will I need to get a jet kit or do anything else? I tried searching, and it sounds like it will run lean without rejetting. If that's the case, should I get the dynojet jet kit? To be honest, I'm not necessarily looking for more power. I just wanted to improve the sound, but I don't want it to negatively affect performance. Thanks!

Sexy looking pipe!! I have always heard that the bike was lean from the fac'try and any unrestricting would make it leaner. I bought all the individual jets and needle when i re-jetted, but the dyno jet kits is a good one stop shop option.
We need pics on the bike

Thanks for the info Dan! I'll make sure to snap a couple of pics once I get it installed, along with my impressions and how the bike is running. I'm actually curious to hear it as well. During my search, I was able to find anybody else with this pipe.

Just ordered the jet kit!

I haven't see an afr tracing from a stock bike that was lean, they are just stranguled by the exhaust more so than the intake so it is a smart first mod. My FMF Powercore4 said no jetting necessary and I found that to be true. That dosen't mean proper jetting won't help as it does but my slip-on alone added quite a bit alone. A performance AC, airbox mods, and a jet kit added somemore. I say throw it on and see if you are too lean you should be able to tell by how it runs and no matter you are not going to blow it up firing it up to see.

The install was extremely easy!! And of course I couldn't wait to fire it up and take it for a spin! It is running perfectly! No hiccups whatsoever. The sound is amazing! It feels like a different machine, even though I know it's all in my head. :P

The jet kit will be nice to have anyway. But for now, it's running great. I also have bars, levers, hand guards, etc., arriving tomorrow. So maybe I'll take some pics once everything is on.

The stock exhaust on these bikes is very restrictive, your butt dyno don't lie. With that simple mod you added a horse or two and it spins up a little faster now. Open up the intake and jet and it is a different bike.

A horse or two on a bike with under 20HP is a big kick in the butt. I tried my best but the stock muffler was just too quiet. I like stealth but you need to at least be able to hear the engine to know rpms.

I agree! I feel like I have a better idea of what the bike is doing, now that I can actually hear it.
