Our lame state is starting to rescind plates issued to dirt bikes. They haven't got my ole 85 XR350R yet though, probably so old it's not in a database.

Man, that sucks.. Hopefully CT doesn't pull any of that stuff.. Just two weeks ago we put my buddy's 2002 YZ250f through inspections, so now he's got a street plated YZ

Awesome. Wish I knew how easy it was before I got my KLX

Nice ride and good luck with it!

Got to love PA!

Now I will hear a 2 smoker zipping through Bangor, instead of the thumpers I usually hear.

That sucks. Once it's plated, it should be grandfather claused regardless of any future law changes.

Here in Colorado you can get dirt bikes plated for the street if you jump through all the hoops. You have to take the bike to a highway patrol station for inspection - they check for brake lights, horn, DOT tires, etc. - and there are some DMV forms to fill out. I think you have to have the original MSO or "off road only" title. I've never done it but I've read it's a fairly straightforward process.

I thought about getting something like a plated (by previous owner) XR250 or KDX200, but decided to go with the KLX because I wanted a bike that was good on the road too. My bike gets ridden mostly on the street, commuting and so forth. I don't get a chance to go out dirt riding all that often.

NIIIIIIIIIIIIICE!!! Only thing better than a dual sport dirt bike with blinkers is a two stroke with all the same features. Cool beans!
