Default New Bike In The Stable

Just picked it up, 2008 ktm 200 xcw with 5.6 hours on it(60 miles). For some crazy reason, PA dot didn't have a problem giving me a license palte for it.

Took it for a shake down cruise last night. Lets just say, in the woods this bike rips. I have some setup to do to it but this thing is already many levels above the klx for offroad(wishing I would have had it a long time ago). And for the "roll on wheelie thread", it will roll wheelies in 5th, I didn't attempt 6th as there is not enough open space to get to those speeds where I was.

That is correct. Walked into the notary(you don't have to go to DOT in PA for titles and registration) with the title and proof of insurance and walked out with a plate, just as it sits.

Sweeeet.. I was --> <-- that close to picking up a KTM 300 two stroke for that same reason - walk into DMV, walk out with plate. The KTM titles don't say "Not legal for road use" or whatever their wording is like the jap bikes. Little loophole I guess.

Good luck

Not all ktm titles don't say that. You have to watch what you are buying. I passed up quite a few for this reason. Some depends on what state it was/is being purchased in and some is in how it was originaly titled. New Husabergs are the same way.

Wow that's amazing!

Ultimate in convenience if you live only a few miles or so from a trail.

Default Congrats!

I'm no AA rider, so I sold my plated KTM 200 earlier this year cause it was too pipey in the tight stuff. I was dead tired after only riding a short bit of singletrack. In the open two track it was a JOY!! it was also VERY fast. I liked the bike a bunch, but I will look for another plated KDX220r if the plated smoker woods bike bug bites again

Getting the bike on the pipe and trying to keep it there, didn't seem to be an issue. I'm sure after a couple of more rides it should't be a problem having to bike sing.
