Also bought heavy duty hand guards and bash plate. I dropped my bike a couple of times on my first ride but I'm improving and can go faster now on turns. Thanks to new tires. Also bought garmin oregon 550t gps so for the first time, I did not get lost.
I wear complete mx riding gear btw when im trail riding. I do get a lot of stares during traffic. I ride from my house straight to the trail. It's 3 to 8 miles depending on where I would like to go.

No not yet. I'll do it once I think my skills are up to it. I just changed the front sprocket to 13t and I felt a big difference. Once I think I need more low end torque, I'll rejet first . trails around here has water crossings and I don't want water on my motor so I'll pass on opening the airbox .
If you ride mostly trails, then changing your tours tires and putting rim locks will greatly improve your riding skills before anything will. I followed this forums advice.
Also make sure your suspension are dialed in according to your weight. Set the sag properly. http://www.planetklx.org/techtips/sag.html
I'm 139 lbs and its just right from factory. good traction once I changed my tires and proper air pressure.

Before going to trails, get a decent handguard . The sturdy ones. I fell hard on my first ride , I would have been stranded if it weren't for it. My handguard bent on the clutch side but I was able to hammer it back. Happy riding. stay safe.

guys on this forum are awesome. I took their advise well. They told me having better traction and dialed in suspension will help improve your riding skills and keep your skin intact . Additional power for m e at the moment can wait until I think I need more of it.
