Need help finding thread
I've pretty much assured few hits on this post by starting the title "need help..." But as long as your here...
There was an excellent, profusely photo illustrated post on one of the KLX250 forums about someone who did a 300 cc big bore with OEM parts. I just ordered Bill Blues 300cc kit and with that post and the shop manual, I might be able to pull off that operation myself. (I can borrow a ring compressing tool and good torque wrench from a mechanic friend)
I've exhaustively searched each forum and for the life of me can't find that thread. I think it was written at least two years ago. If anyone knows what I'm talking about and can post a link, or point me in the right direction, that would be most helpful.

It may be a Nobrakes thread you are looking for, I faintly remember a bigbore thread posted up by him. Maybe search threads started by him.
My 351 install thread has some pics, not profusely illustrated, but may help some.

Armycopters install thread has a bunch of pics too.

Good luck

The name Nobrakes rings a bell. Thanks for the links.
My mechanical skills are generally restricted to oil changes and taking in the slack on the chain, I think it's time to try something a bit more advanced. The writeup I remember was very comprehensive and seemed to cover all the bases.
Edit: just checked your links, it was Armycopters thread that I remembered. Now I have to decide werther I want to go through all that, or fork over three hours to have my mechanic do the deed for me, hmmm...
